full body yes or full body no?

Since we have 3 centers of intelligence- our thinking, our feeling, our gut knowing- it is advantageous to check into all 3 centers to see what kind of wisdom each has for us when we are making decisions.
There are definitely times when we say yes that we have a nagging sense we should have said no. For example, our emotions may drive us to a yes to buy something when we have another intelligence telling us that we’d be better off passing on the purchase. Our thinking might tell us yes to the paycheck and security of a job when our gut and emotions are not at all aligned with the work we’re doing.
A friend of mine was sharing this morning that she had signed up for an overnight retreat but then learned some details about the accommodations that caused her enthusiasm to do an about face. She contemplated going as a practice of moving out of her comfort zone, but when she checked in with all the centers of her intelligence, she recognized that not only did she not have a full body yes, she actually had a full body no. She canceled and experienced a clear peace in her decision.
We tend to be led by one of the three centers of intelligence. Depending on our personality types, we might be driven primarily by our thinking, by our emotions, or by our gut knowing. It is good to remember that we all have all three centers, and consciously exploring to see what information each is offering can help us to come to decisions that are more full bodied.
